WHere is a home-style interpretation of a drink found on a new menu. Designed as a batch pre-mixed which is loaded with essence associated with Christmas time, making it excellent for your holiday party. Reserve the remaining syrup for brunch beverages, sweets, or to mix more rounds of bikinis.
Bikini Recipe
Serves 10 servings
To make the Citrus Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
Ingredients for the Drink (makes 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine syrup (as made above)
A few cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Directions
Making the Cordial: Combine every components inside a pan, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, agitating until the sugar dissolves. Then, take off the heat allowing it to cool fully. Transfer to a sealable bottle, seal keeping it in the fridge, where it will keep for up to four weeks.
For the Cocktail Base: Combine the specified spirits and syrup into a large bottle, let it rest for one hour, then strain best through muslin, to ensure it's perfectly clear.
For serving: Add 85ml from the cocktail base into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and stir carefully for one minute to chill. Strain into a cold coupe glass or equivalent, top with the cranberries and complete it with a light spray of mandarin oil over the top.
